We were deeply saddened by the passing of our dear colleague and friend David Busse z’l who had been fighting ill health for over a year.

David joined KLBD in February 2011, after retiring from his own food equipment business, which he had sold. As the Technical Sales Manager he was focused on gaining new clients in the food ingredients sector.

He spent much of his early years at KLBD representing us at ingredients exhibitions around the world, including France, Germany, India and North America. His work included delivering presentations at various exhibitions, trade associations, and universities. Lately, his energy was much more spent on cold calling to companies, particularly in Europe and India. An engineer by profession, he had a wealth of experience in the food industry and a great sense of humour.

‘David wasn’t just a member of the KLBD team he was a member of the KLBD family and we miss him greatly ‘, Rabbi Jeremy Conway, KLBD’s Director said. ‘He was a pleasure to work with in every way. We appreciated his professionalism, his experience, his knowledge, and certainly his great sense of humour.

He made a significant impact on the world of kosher and whenever people eat products containing ingredients from the many companies he brought to kosher certification, his legacy lives on.

Russell Brown, Commercial Consultant who worked with David at many exhibitions added ‘ He was a consummate sales professional and a stickler for professional stand presentation. A delight to work with and had a wonderful sense of humour‘.

David will be sorely missed. Our thoughts are with his wife Wendy and their three children.
