The great advantage about attending an expo is the fact that you are able to interact with industry professionals as well as customers. Of course, some of them may be your competitors, but there is no harm in networking with those you are in competition with, in fact, it can be incredibly helpful.
It is also helpful to network with those you are not in direct competition with. You can use the knowledge and experience of those who have been in the industry for a long time, and use the freshness and imagination of those who are newer to the industry.
