A countdown to the world-renowned SIAL food and beverage show is well underway.  The biennial show returns to Paris Nord Villepinte from 19–23 October and is universally regarded as the must-attend event for everyone connected with the industry.

This year looks to be drawing larger crowds than ever, with 300,000 visitors from over 200 countries expected to attend and a massive 7,000 exhibitors showcasing a spectacular array of fresh produce, dairy, beverages and gourmet foods. The diversity of visitors under one roof will include buyers, retailers, importers and industry professionals from every corner of the globe. A star attraction in the international pavilions will be the chance to see and sample specialist foods from different countries.

Naturally with such a dynamic mix of delegates in attendance, the scope for making new and profitable business connections is at another level. The networking events scheduled include business meetings, roundtables and themed conferences, all directed towards connecting with key decision makers across every important sphere. Over 50 expert speakers will share their knowledge on topics as diverse as sustainability, innovation and evolving consumer preferences, to vegetables and plant-based alternatives.

The all-encompassing programme at SIAL Paris incorporates a unique assortment of special events, tastings, pitch sessions and summits that are all relevant to the food industry. Visitors to the ‘SIAL Innovation’ area will gain a fascinating insight into the latest trends and market developments worldwide.

One of many compelling highlights promises to be the SIAL Innovation Awards, recognising creative food and drink products brought to market by exhibitors.  Award winners are assured of a major boost to product exposure, with maximum visibility before, during and after the show. Chosen exhibitors can flaunt their success by sporting an official label, ‘innovative company selected for SIAL Innovation 2024’, and winners will be on hand to discuss their prize-winning products. The submission process is deliberately user-friendly to encourage maximum participation, and additional competitions are available to enter.

The dedicated SIAL Taste space is certain to be a focal point for visitors to the show. Intended to explore the most innovative and tasty products of the day, it’s also a great chance to indulge in 15-minute tasting sessions hosted by renowned chef and TV presenter, Cyril Rouquet-Prevost. A further series of appetising demos is planned, as well as a unique opportunity to sample the consummate gourmet experience in culinary workshops.

A series of ground-breaking summits will mark the six decades anniversary of the SIAL Paris extravaganza. In keeping with recent years SIAL Paris will continue its strong emphasis on sustainability, highlighting eco-friendly products and solutions within the food industry.  Food professionals in the global agri-food sector have long regarded SIAL Paris as the perfect rendezvous for forging new business relationships.

As the largest kosher agency in Europe and a top five in the world, the benefits of KLBD certification will be evident from the large number of exhibitors carrying the distinctive KLBD logo as a benchmark of quality. Among them, Al-Barakah Dates will be showcasing a fantastic variety of date-based products, including date spread, chopped dates and date powder as a healthier alternative to white and brown sugars. A dynamic and thought-provoking series of events has been centred on digital transformation, incorporating advancements in food processing, packaging and distribution.  At the Deeptech & AI Summit, global experts from the technological world will be sharing insights into Advances in Artificial Intelligence and how A.I. is revolutionising the industry’s production processes, operational efficiency and product quality.
