Presentation at Wageningen University

KLBD’s Technical Sales Manager, David Busse, is off to the Netherlands to give a presentation on kosher certification to PHD students at Wageningen University.

The presentation will focus on sourcing and certifying kosher ingredients: the importance, the demand and the opportunity. As well as explaining the perceptions around kosher certification and how it can be achieved.

Mr Busse will also focus on some more topical subjects including new generation of sugars for example grape sugar which can be complicated for kosher and the growing free from industry.

The presentation will conclude by providing an insight into how companies can maintain their kosher certification and educate employees on its relevance for each individual department.

This is particularly topical for the PhD students, whose programme focuses on the conversion of agricultural raw materials into high-value food ingredients, sustainable food production including conversion of waste into food supplements, and health effects of products.

The Netherlands is the second largest exporter of agricultural products after the US, and one of the world’s three main producers of vegetables and fruit.
